Mural Maker [Guest Post]

Painting Tutorials from MuralMaker

Hi there! I’m over-the-moon excited about being here today! I’m Colleen, aka MuralMaker. I’m a mom to 3 grown{ish} men, grandmother to the most fantastic almost-4 year old in the world, and wife to a very, very patient man.

I’m so happy to be here on Be Different, Act Normal today. Since it’s Show & Tell Saturday I have a few goodies to show. And I always, always have lots to ‘tell’ at Mural Maker & More.

As the name implies, I paint murals.

I love painting so much that I want everyone to enjoy it so I share painting tutorials each week. Before you run away and say I can’t even draw a stick figure, each tutorial is geared for people with absolutely no painting experience. Really!

But I realize that probably not everyone loves painting as much as I do  - can that be possible? - so in between murals, tutorials and blogging, I’m creating a line of wall appliques, decorative decals that look like they’ve been handpainted.

I’m just getting started but I’m uber excited about having my paintings become repositionable decals that stick to any surface – even textured walls. Now people can get a handpainted look that just sticks on. Cool, huh?

But I really hope you still try a painting tutorial. It’s just so much fun to swish some colors around and watch them become something beautiful.

So you know that the holidays are coming up soon, right? I have a question for you – what are your favorite Fall and/or Christmas images. Oak leaves? Pumpkins? Maybe holly and berries? Gingerbread men?

I’d love to know because I’m starting weekly Fall tutorials next week and a Santa’s Workshop beginning in September. I hope you drop by soon for a visit share your holiday favorites with me!

Thanks so much, Lorie, for letting me do an expanded version of Show & Tell today! It truly is one of the best linky parties!
