Right now I have a dozen pumpkins on my kitchen table drying. Today I painted them with chalkboard paint. They are going to be on a table at the Fall Festival to keep little hands busy during some of the down time. I am sure you have all seen chalkboard pumpkins before, I know I have, but now I think I might need to transform some of them into chalkboard cats:
You can read how to transform your pumpkin into a chalkboard cat over at Real Simple.
And I may have to buy a few more pumpkins because I am starting to fall in love with the idea of not painting the entire pumpkin:
I hate when I finish a project and then find a version I like better. That happens to me a lot. I guess I read too many blogs!!
You can get a cat template and a witch template at Woman's Day.

Love this idea! I literally just bought some chalkboard paint for another Halloween party project...now I have something to do with the rest of it!
We painted ours 3 years ago...my hubby thought we were nuts but my kids loved it!

I just looked at it again...my kids were so little!
Amie, isn't it crazy how quickly they grow up! And I am glad to hear your kids loved them because I am hoping all of the kids at the party will play happily with them!!
I love this idea! I have a can of chalkboard just waiting to be put on some pumpkins! I know my boys would have a blast drawing on them...plus chalk is a lot safer than those sharp carving tools:)
