This idea from Martha is gorgeous:
The only problem is that it requires a wood carving tool. And a lot of time Especially for the one on the left, which I love! If you have both and you want one of these pumpkins, you can get the directions HERE.
If you like the look and don't care if it can't glow, you might want to try this idea from BHG:
This one only requires a paper doilie and some paint:
And a little adhesive to make sure the doilies stay put!

GORGEOUS! Id NOEVER have the patience to make th ebeautiful lantern ones...guess mine will require the doilies. LOVE those!
I love the carved ones, but the painted ones mean you can cook the pumpkin once you're done displaying it! :-)
I love this idea, but holy time sucker!! I would need two Halloweens to finish one pumpkin!
ooooohh! So pretty! I love pumpkins as a general rule, but I never even imagined they could be turned into something so Cinderella-ish!
Those pumpkins look beautiful, like they have henna tattoos :)
DrayaAnn, if you do the stencil technique on a fake pumpkin you can keep it for more than one Halloween! ;D
These are great. I love the doilies one! Maybe I should get a fake pumpkin from Garden Ridge and then paint it with a doilie. That way it will last forever!
Great idea! I have grabbed one of your buttons for my link party page, I am also following your blog!
