Homemade Oreos

Bake a 350 posted her recipe for homemade Oreos:

I am excited to give them a try, because we love Oreos around here, but they are about the worst cookie in the world ingredient wise!  But why I wanted to share these cookies was because of the super cute hearts that she put into each one.  I have never seen an Oreo look so cute!

And if you wanted to dress them up for Halloween you would only need to put a pumpkin on them instead of a heart.  And maybe add a little orange food coloring to the white center!

You can check out her recipe for these HERE.

Oh, thanks! My husband loves Oreos.

I also noticed she had homemade chocolate Nutter Butter recipe AND Homemade Hostess Cupcakes! I had to add this blog to Google Reader. :-)

Those look adorable. I made a similar recipe last year by SmittenKitchen. There was that moment when I made the cream filling and then it dawned on me "oh my goodness, this filling tastes exactly like the store-bought and now I know what's in them!" I would rather not have known! It's like finding out about Santa Claus. I did remake them for a halloween with orange food coloring in the filling. They were very festive.

My son's absolute favorite snack (& dad's too). Would love to make them for them both. Thanks for the heads up.
