Art Inspired Cakes

Martha has a bunch of cakes on her site that were inspired by works of art.

They were all intended to be wedding cakes, but I am looking for a birthday cake ideas.  (We have three that we celebrate within 10 days in October, one of which is Halloween.  These would all make an easy transition to birthday cake with just some fun color changes.  (And some, like the last, wouldn't even require that.)  I think the polka dots would be cute in Halloween colors, but so would the splatter painted Pollack.  And the collection of cakes is great if you can't choose just one!  Just make a bunch of mini cakes!   And then if you are celebrating more than one birthday at a time, everyone gets their own cake (and then some!)
