Sewing In No Mans Land

I stumbled across Sewing in No Mans Land a couple of months ago when I saw these cute sandwich wrappers she made:

But it wasn't until last week that I spent a couple of hours no her blog and read her story.

Kelly is a mother of three, amazing seamstress, and she just happens to live in Dili East Timor with her husband who is a Foreign Service Office.  They are relocated to a new embassy every 2 years.  Something that would be amazing, but that I don't think I would ever do with three kids.

She shares some amazing stories about her travels and her daily life on her blog, but she started her blog to record what she could make with the 15 yards of fabric that she brought with her to East Timor.  She has added some fabric that she bought locally and readers have sent her some fabric as well, and she has made some pretty amazing things.

Her most recent creation is this super cute skirt:

And she made a cute little version for her cute little girl too:

You can get the pattern for these cute skirts HERE and make sure to check out her other patterns and read her story.  They are all pretty amazing.
