We got sucked into the whole Zhu Zhu pet phenomenon for about a week. I bought Lou one after she played with them at her friends house. I had to return to the store later that day to buy one for Toots. The pink one I bought for Toots had a finicky button that a 2 year old couldn't make work, so she spent the next week stealing her sisters.
Eventually it was lost and they both became uninterested. I found it a couple days later and haven't mentioned it to either of them. I am sure if I did they would want to play with them again, but at the moment I am content to be Zhu Zhu pet free.
If you are still living in a Zhu Zhu pet zone, you might need these cute treats from Gourmet Mom on the Go for a summer treat or for a Zhu Zhu pet party:

How cute!!
Thank god were still Zhu Zhu free!!!
Adorable, I don't want to admit how many we have and my kids still want more. :).
So cute. We are currently in a Zhu Zhu hell. Both my son and daughter are obsessed. My daughter just bought her third and that isn't counting her baby and all the stuff that goes with it. Have you seen.... they are now making them geared towards boys too(KungZhu)? Darker, crazier colours and ninja or soldier based accessories....crazy.....HELP!
Jennifer my son (at the beginning) said he didn't want one, but after seeing that commercial came in and said "I might have changed my mind."
I assured him that he hadn't ;D
hehe that's funny! My son actually has 2 of the other ones. He is realizing that they are more girlie... hope he doesn't expect to replace them. Best of luck keeping them out!
That...might give me nightmares. hahahaha
