Ice Cream Jars

Jess from Pen N' Paper Flowers threw a beautiful birthday party for her two daughters with a gorgeous yellow and pink theme.  She called it Sunshine and Lemonade, which has me singing "Sunshine, Lollipops and Rainbows, everything that's wonderful is what I feel when we're together."
Do you know who sings that song?  It was on the first album I ever bought with my own money.  Which may not make any sense at all if you know who sings the song and how old I am.  If you guess it correctly you are my new best friend!  Actually, knowing is TOTALLY worth a prize, but right now I am in a car driving to Arizona and I can't commit to something as cool as giving you a prize!

So back to the Sunshine and lemonade.  The entire party is GORGEOUS, but my favorite part is the ice cream served in the cute glass jars:

The lemon drops in a jar weren't bad either:

I think it would be fun to have toppings for the ice cream in little jars like the lemon drop favors.

Must find a place to store 10 dozen jars in my house.

Must talk one of my kids into having a Sunshine, Lollipops and Rainbows party. Must wait until they are old enough to not break all of the glass jars!

And you must go see the rest of the beautiful party HERE.

Lesley Gore in 1965! I thought you were only a mere 30-ish. Boy was I wrong. Don't mean to insult. It's actually a compliment. You come across as very young in this blog. Good for you.

Thanks SO much for featuring the little ice cream jars from the party I hosted last weekend. Little wooden spoons would've been the PERFECT addition...don't you think? Amy Atlas sited webstaurantstore.com for wooden spoons...
