So before I go any further into this post (or start the post at all) I have to ask you if you are a donut or a doughnut person. Just curious, because I tend to flip flop back and forth between the two spellings.
I am going to try to stick with doughnut in this post because that is how Smitten Kitchen spells it, and it is her recipe that made these:
And if we were home I might just attempt to make those for Father's Day. But we aren't. We will be at a work thing for my hubby (so fun!) I guess I will have to save the doughnuts for a summer treat for the kiddos.

Oh man my hubby would love those! I personally do DONUT but I change it once in awhile like you. What is the correct way??
We were just debating this at work! I thought maybe doughnut was a Canadian thing (like colour/color, cheque/check and catalogue/catalog) but checked with our local authorities (aka Tim Hortons) and they say donut too!
Hmmmmmm....I can't remember the last time I wrote (and not just said) donut, LOL. But if I did I think I would leave out the 'ugh'...who knows...taste good both ways!
Mary, I have no idea! Dunking Donuts is Donuts and Krispy Kreme uses Doughnuts so I don't think there is a wrong way!
Jess...I write about donuts and doughnuts a lot. We have problems here in my house! ;D
YUM!! I forgot that I used to make those. I would love for you to link up one of your yummy ideas at my Tasty Tuesdays meme.
