Zebra Cake

Baking Banter has a tutorial to make this fun Zebra striped cake:

Which would be fun for a wildlife themed party, but it is pretty cool looking for ANY party.  Can you imagine it in shades of pink for a baby shower!  Maybe blush and bashful?  (If you get that you are my new best friend!)

See how pretty it is even before it is baked:

And even pretty unfrosted:

You can check out the tutorial HERE:

"Her colors are pink and pink!" Love that movie!

Oh, and the cake is cool. There are all kinds of possibilities. I think I might have to give it a try this weekend. Thanks for sharing.

This has got to be one of the best looking cakes I've seen. I'm a cake decorator and have never seen this before. I love it!

I'm so happy to see that there are other freaks like me out there who have Steel Magnolias memorized.

Lorie - I'm laughing out loud right now thinking of all the lines I've quoted from that movie. Remember when they were on the dance floor and she said, "looks like two pigs fightin' under a blanket." hahaha. Or how about when Clary asked Weeza, "what are you so happy about today...what'd you do, run over a small child or something?" Oh my gosh I love that movie - now I wanna invite you and all of your new best friends over to watch it in our jammies :)
