Shot Glass Desserts

I have always loved shot glass desserts.  They are just so cute and little.  Which is more proof that being little magnifies the cuteness potential! Babies, puppies, shot glass desserts.

But I don't own any shot glasses.  And honestly, I don't want to.  I try to talk myself into them when I see cute things like these:

Rootbeer Float Cupcakes:

Raspberry Tiramisu:

Trifle:

For now, I am holding off.  Or I guess I should say I have filled the void with these:

My husband bought them for me for Mother's Day.  It may have something to do with the fact that I took  Lou La to the store with me, showed them to her, told her how many I wanted and to tell her Dad.  It might have something to do with that.  So now anytime I see a shot glass dessert, I will just picture this:

Or this:

Or even a s'mifle...a s'more trifle (although I think I would add some vanilla ice cream):

Hopefully these will keep me from needing to buy shot glasses.  At least for a while.

Now I am getting hungry! I love using things, not for their intended purposes! I see shot glasses at the good will all the time. What a great way to present your dessert! And then the portions are just right! Of course I may have to eat about 5, but hey!

Those are way cuter than shot glasses.. I've always found TONS of shot glasse at Goodwillf or super cheap. My Maid of Honor gave all the girls a personalized shot glass at my Bachelorette Party- she found them all at Goodwill & then wrote with the permanent pen you baked to set. Needless to say, I've got oodles of shot glasses leftover. Now I know what to do with them.

They are so cute! The little feet on yours magnify it even more.
Should you cave and NEED shot glasses, look for a shot glass checkers set, you'll get a TON for the price of a game.

Those little trifle bowls are the cutest things ever! I like them way better than the shot glasses. I think an individual layered dessert is the best thing since.... well, since big layered desserts. :)

I LOVE these, thanks for sharing! I agree, vanilla ice cream with the smores.

The funny thing here is that I feel about dessert cups the way you feel about shot glasses -- but I don't use them! My mom always served a fruit cup (with sherbet and frozen melon balls of course) for holidays, and it's hard to get that image out of my head. Good golly, I'm going for miniature tiramisu (tiramisi?).
Thanks for the great idea!

I can't wait to go out and get me some little shot glasses. I wonder if it would be weird to do dessert for a kids party in those. Thanks for the idea!!

I have the same mini trifle bowls, but haven't used them yet because I couldn't decided what to put in them. Now I know...s'mifle! Thanks for the great ideas.

This is so cute and perfect! I have a somewhat large collection of shot glasses from when I was in college, from all over the world. I can't bare to get rid of them, but I certainly have no desire to display them. This looks like the perfect solution! Thanks for sharing!!
