Ruffled Halter Top

I have a love hate relationship with sewing blogs.  I love them, but they remind me that I can't sew!  And I hate that. My sewing machine is still sitting on the floor of my dining room from my last attempt at sewing.   A James Madison costume for a school project.  We won't talk about how the vest that I made (without a pattern) didn't line up in the front.  Nothing a little velcro didn't cure.

But that doesn't keep me from falling in love with things like this cute ruffled halter top from Amber at Sew Totally Smitten:

How cute would that be in red, white and blue ruffles for 4th of July!!  How cute would it be if you made it a little longer so that it was a ruffled halter DRESS!  See, in my head I can sew.  And in my head I have a lot of great ideas.  My sewing machine just doesn't understand that!

If you CAN sew or if, like me, you want to give it a try anyways, you can see the tutorial HERE.

Oh my gosh, yes, that would be precious in red, white and blue!

I love to sew, when I start, I don't want to stop! Now, I am not great at it, but still enjoy it!

Have a great day!

That is darling. I have no one to wear those cute things anymore. Waiting for great grands now. I can sew, I just don't sew. New sewing machine and everything. Who knows what drives us. My trouble is I like to do too many things. So too much trouble to get stuff out and then put it back. If I had a place to just let it all hang around, you know what I mean. Sewing machine, ironing board, paints, fabric, etc.
