Which is something I really never had to worry about in Arizona. But here in Texas there is a little bit more moisture to deal with, so it might come in handy.
But this tip could come in hand EVERY time you paint. Look at her pour the paint (so it doesn't touch the rust):
It doesn't touch the side of the can. Which means, on a regular paint can, your can won't end up looking like this:
I may be the only person on earth that didn't know this trick, well, not the only one because that messy paint can belongs to someone else, so at least there are two of us that need to know this trick! But now I know it. So there may just be one again.

This is a great idea. Not just for saving the paint from a rusted can but to just be able to pour the paint and not get it on the can!
Now how smart it that!! Thanks for sharing the great tip!

Yeah, awesome. Great great tip. PS-LOL at your label. :)
Did you post on making a tiered display? I missed it! But yes, the plates look AMAZING on a display like that. I probably couldn't get away with a whole set of these plates, but it does make one cute tray!
Count me in among the stupid! What a brilliant idea that I wish I had known long ago. Will definitely use this in the future!
What a wonderful idea. I did pop over to see the decor on the other post, can't even remember the name now. I am not much into decorating with a saw and such but did like her idea and the results. Blessings

AWESOME!
You are definitely getting me in the mood to paint again.
Well, I didn't know that trick either and I paint at least once a week. Yeah, now I know.
Oh my gosh!! LOVE it!!
