Rose Colored Glasses (or Colored Glass Jars)

Have you seen Princess and the Frog?  (Even if you haven't, keep reading.  It will be worth it I promise!)

You know the scene where they are at Mama Odie' sand they go outside an there are all the colorful glass bottles hanging from the trees?  I am sort of obsessed with that.  But beautiful colored bottles are not easy to find, and when you do find them they aren't exactly cheap enough to buy 50 to hang in your tree because you are crazy.

But I just found these on Gingerbread Snowflakes:

And she made them with Mod Podge and food coloring!!  So I can not take plain glass bottles (that are a LOT easier to come by and a lot cheaper) and turn them into pretty colorful bottles!  Or you could make fun Spring lanterns like Pam did.

You can check out her tutorial HERE.

I'm so happy you posted this! That is one my fav things in the movie and I'm determined to hang colored glass in our trees this summer. I know my kidds would L-O-V-E it!
