Toy Story 1 & 2

If you are like me you probably already own more than one copy of Toy Story and Toy Story 2.  Ours are pretty used (we have two copies of each) so when I found out they were coming out on Blu Ray I had mixed feeling.  Did I really need a third copy?   I knew I was going to cave, but at least I don't have to feel bad about it.

First, Blu-Rays are more scratch resistant, so hopefully these will hold up better.  But even better, I got them for practically free.

If you already own a copy of the DVD, Disney is giving you $10 off the Blu-Ray Combo pack (DVD and Blu-Ray..no digital download this time, which is a bummer).  Just go to Disney Movie Rewards, sign up for a free account, and then Enter the UPC of your old movies in the ENTER CODE box.  If you are like me and don't keep your old boxes, that could be a problem.  But if you do a Google search you will find lots of people offering up their UPC codes.

Like Toy Story = 786936294507 and Toy story 2 = 786936127683

Then go to Target.  Right now they have the Blu-Ray Combo packs for $22.99 each.  But if you buy both you get $10 off at the register.  So what would be $45.98 becomes $15.98 (for both movies, DVD and Blu-Ray of both) AND you will get two free tickets to see Toy Story 3 in theaters.  Not a bad deal.

What a great deal. Thanks for the tip. We can't wait for TS3 to hit the theaters. We're all big fans of Buzz and Woody. : )

If you go to WalMart and price-match using the ToysRUs ad, they will be 16.99 each, which makes them 6.99 each after the coupon. By the time you get your free movie passes for TS3 (info on the boxes), you are actually making money by buying the movies!
