Tie Headband

I can't even tell you how excited I am about this cute headband from Craft Envy that I found on Totally Tutorials:

And not just because it is cute (and Lou La is back to wearing headbands again...girls!)  But because it is made out of a tie.  About a year ago my Hubby spent a big chunk of money on some really nice ties on Ebay.  When they arrived he realized that they were not the style that he liked to wear.  Can't really return them and never got around to selling them.  They have been sitting in my closet for a LONG time.  They even made the move because I couldn't bear to just get rid of them...they were kind of pricey.

So now I can mutilate them and turn them into really expensive headbands.  But at least they will get used!

You can see the full tutorial HERE.

Now THAT is cute!!! I'm envisioning matching ties, on Jack and in the girls' hair...

When you make the headbands you can say that they are enviromentally friendly: Reduce, Renew, Recycle!

Here I thought I was being creative weaving a seat for a chair out of old ties. Love this idea even more. Thanks.

There is a local thrift store that sells nice ties for only $1, so for some cute headbands it might be the way to go.
