Pirate Party

Georgia from Parties by Georgia is one of the great Twitter ladies that stepped up and offered to blog for me a couple of weeks ago.  Because of some technical issues I wasn't able to get her post up then, so I wanted to share it with you today.

Seas ye there......aargh!
Young and old alike enjoy a pirate theme party.  We handmade our invitations {and sell them too}

We have made these as boys and girls and the pirate is blank on the back, easy to fill in.  They are made from light wood and each pirate is made from craft papers and accented with a button eye, sequin lips and goggle eye.  Each handmade. Guaranteed huge hit!  Aargh!
Transforming the home into a pirate’s hide-out can be easy when working black, red & white.

We include lots of pirate hats, eye patches and plenty of gold chocolate coins hidden around the garden.  The highlights of the day were our sword fight, men, women & kids and treasure hunt.

We had a Pirate Party over on the Fontaine Maury blog last month! Lots of free printables: http://blog.fontainemaury.com/2011/02/pirate-flag-of-sorts.html

What great ideas! My grandkids are always agitating for a pirate-themed party and my husband and I were running out of ideas. How timely of you!
