If I spray painted all of the door knobs?

My landlord never actually lived in the house, so I wonder if he would even notice if I painted all my knobs. Better to ask forgiveness than permission...right?

In my opinion, your landlord should thank you because it would increase the property value!
I did something similar with an ugly brass huge door knob on our patio door when I couldn't afford a new one. However, the metal of our rings and the roughness of fingernails, etc., chipped the finish. The silver paint is good on objects not used much. Door knobs, not so much in my experience, but...whatever. It can't look too much worse. ;o)
I think you should do it. The second picture is definitely better!

I think it would look good as long as it doesn't scratch off. Me personally I'd just buy new ones if I didn't like the gold. I'm sure the landlord wouldn't mind if its out of your pocket.
I say do it! spray a clear coat after to help with the scratching off...

We thought of doing this...then realized that we would have to do all of the hinges on the doors too, to match...and backed out.
Im thinking of spray painting my kitchen knobs and pulls though...wonder how well they would hold up?!
Doubt he would even notice
I say go for it!! :)
Ha ha I have been thinking of doing the same thing here in our house. I hate the brass. But now we are moving soon- after renting forever-so I think I can handle it for a while. I say try it- if he is like our landlord- he doesn't even notice these types of things- and they make a huge difference :)
Wow - what a difference a little spray paint can make! I say anything you can do to get rid of "builder brass" is always a good thing!
I love this! Thanks for sharing. I will definitely use this.
I like your gusto! I say go for it;) It is adding value...why would he/she care:)
What a great idea!
