Tree Toppers

Camille emailed me and asked about ideas for a tree topper she could make. Things were a little crazy around here tonight, so I only got to look around a little, but I love this one that I found at Better Homes and Gardens:

You take an inexpensive star ornament and cover it in Christmas sheet music. I will keep looking for ideas, but I thought I would find out if any of you made your own tree toppers. I would love to hear about them!

I like the idea of making your own topper, but this particular one may get a little lost on top of the tree at night time with all the lights sparkling.

That would be cute in a musically inclined girls room too. Thanks for sharing.

I've gotten my Christmas stuff down from the attic today. I'm rebelling. It's 75 here today and I'm just not having it! LOL I'll at least decorate the mantel and put up my tree in the kitchen. AT LEAST! ;D Love this tree topper.

Ah, what a great topic! Every year (for SIX YEARS now) I pull out our Christmas stuff and realize...we don't have a tree topper. This will be the year I get my act together... thanks!!

When my parents were first married they made the star for the of their tree. They cut theshape out of thin cardboard, covered it with aluminum foil and glued a short length of PVC pipe to the back. 25 years later they are still using it and I hope theynever replace it!
