Just wanted to update you

Many of you have emailed me to ask if I won the washer and dryer. They were supposed to announce the winner last Friday, but everyone that entered the contest received an email on Thursday announcing that they would be choosing a winner by random drawing and that it would be announced on Tuesday.

Tuesday has come and gone and I haven't heard an announcement. I am really disappointed in the way that the contest was run and at this point I am not expecting to hear anything at all.

You guys were so great about listening to me talk about laundry rooms for two weeks straight and for leaving me so many comments! I had over 43,000! That was amazing! You guys were amazing. And I can't thank you enough.

So not fair. I really don't like it when contests don't do what they say they will do. Ugh. How frustrating.

Wow, not cool. But then again if you didn't have the most votes, you still have a chance to win I suppose.

Fingers still crossed for you!!

You got shafted. What a shame on that company! Seriously! All that free advertising and they go back on their word. If I were rich, I would buy you a washer and dryer myself. Condolences.

I'm so disappointed for you!

Not that I minded and I'd do it again, but to have all of us putting all that time and energy in just to have them say we change our mind is....

I can't even find the word. It's shameful on them.

Hi Lorie.
Let's just keep our fingers crossed anyway. ;) It sucks that the contest is not being run the way it's supposed to be. But hey!! Look at all of the laundry room inspiration we all got out of it?!

So it went from "the most comments" to "random"? That's not right.

I hope you win!

Loved the laundry room inspiration!

I'm still hoping!

No word here either - very disappointing way to run a contest!

I'm disappointed (and mad!) for you as well. Its completely unfair to change the rules of a contest after its already over.

I'm still crossing my fingers for you though. And you got to see just how much bloggy love there is for you!

Well, that is very unprofessional of them. Do it or don't but don't leave people hanging.

Like the other ladies said, I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for you too!

I hate to hear that...maybe you'll hear something soon.
Still hoping you win!

Wish we could complain or somehow boycott!

Big do-do heads... I am ticked at their crappiness.

That's so crappy of them!! I can't believe they think it's ok to do that.

LAME LAME LAME! Talk about negative advertising for that company.

Amy said...

ewwww NOT COOL at all.

what a huge bummer! sorry -- you deserve to win.

That is crappy. Really, really crappy!

Tami said...

Well BOO! That is not nice.
'A' for effort though.

Myrnie said...

Seriously??? I wonder if that company knows the power of the "blogosphere" in word of mouth advertising? Because they totally just messed up...

Well, fingers crossed for you anyway!!

Lisa @ Fern Creek Cottage said...

What!!! From most comments to random drawing, that stinks! Well I'm hoping for the best.

We're still hoping for you. That would be so sad if they didn't end up following through with the contest. Bummer. We still love you!

Kimberly Vanderhorst said...

I agree with everyone else - shame on them! I've really been hoping for you!

I just read over on the original Twittermom's page that someone else won.

I am sorry you didn't end up winning after putting so much effort into what now seems a bogus competition.

I with the other ladies who would like to do something to remedy this injustice. Is there anywhere we can complain?

Jenn said...

I'm totally in, if you want to start emailing the company. That is crappy! Like the kind of crap that a Samsung (it was samsung, right?) washer couldn't get out.

Jenn said...

In fact, I just sent an email off to this address (samsungpr@edelman.com) expressing my feelings on how this contest was poorly run, and how I feel they should correct it.

LunaMoonbeam said...

Looks like the contest wasn't run by a Mommy Blogger! We would have had the contest results up, winner chosen by random.org, plus a graphic (!) by 12:01 am Tuesday morning!

Random drawing?? in the spirit of Halloween, I say BOO!

EmilyRosePortraits said...

That really irks me! How dare they change the rules all the sudden! Not fair at all! Random drawing! Jeez!
