Gobble Gobble

This is a Thanksgiving craft, but I am afraid I will forget about it if I wait to post it!!

I was looking through magazines at my sister-in-laws house and found this cute turkey made from fruit! A pear body, apple and orange slices for the feathers, dried apricots for the feet, and a cashew, dried cranberries and chocolate chips for the face!

They suggest peanut butter or softened cream cheese to attach the eyes, beak, and snood.  You can see the instructions at Family Fun.

That is SO cute! My sister did something like that for Thanksgiving last year. I don't think I got any of it tho as it was snarfed up pretty fast.
I think hers was mostly out of popcorn and candy.
Yummy pic!

That is adorable! I've made one from cookies before but yours is healthier!

I saw that turkey too! Was it Family Fun?? I can't think of what other magazine I get that would have it. Anyway, I don't think they used anything for the body, it's just set down that way. I think they used like a tiny dab of chocolate or something for the waddle and nose though.

I just HAD to look it up.

They say to use peanut butter or softened cream cheese to put on chocolate chip eyes, a cashew beak, and dried cranberry snood.

The rest is in fact just laid out like that.
