So I will admit that I have been daydreaming about cute laundry rooms. I have seen pictures of them all over the
internet and have never really saved a lot of them because my current laundry room is in the garage. And it is like 200 degrees in there when the dryer ISN'T on! But although this post is of a laundry room, that isn't why I love it. This image from is from

That is an old doll house that they have re purposed into shelves. Now we have shelves in the girls room that their great grandpa made to look like a doll house, and we love those, but there is just something about the real thing too!
I have no idea where I would use the idea...maybe a bedroom or a playroom, but I love it!

Believe it or not, I have one of these (not this fancy, but FREE)saved just for this purpose--though not to go over the laundry=) I am saving it for the day (when I have the time) I get to make an office area in our second bedroom. Almost there.
That is way cute! My grandfather built me a dollhouse when I was a little girl, and I have since given it to my daughter. Now that she is 11, she doesn't play with it anymore, so we use it as a bookshelf!
ack, those ARE delightful! If it wasn't hard enough to find a dollhouse FOR dolls to BEGIN with, I'd be doing that. Right now. lol. Actually, I know my SIL was looking for a decent sized wooden dollhouse for her daughter so she could play dolls in it and decorate it and such now and then when she's older use it as a bookshelf. But I don't think it occured to her to mount it on the wall!

I love old doll houses!!! What a precious idea!!! I would do a ton of laundry with a smile on my face if I had that doll house in my laundry room.
