But alas I do not have any of those. Nor do I have time to order them online and get them here by...well today. And the three stores I looked at didn't have black cake stands. Not even Target. Doesn't Target have everything?So while I was at Target I picked up this black plate and bowl for just over $4:

Again thanks for the bowl/plate idea. I made mine a while back after reading that post. I love it! And use it so often. Even passed the idea on to others who ask where I got my cake plate from.

You are my HERO! Do you know I have been looking for two identical cake stands forever? The Twinkies NEED cake stands for their birthday cakes. I have always loved cake stands but couldn't justify the purchase...now I NEED them and can't find them anywhere. Now I have a good fall back solution. Did I say you're my HERO?
