I found this on
The Finer Things:
Who says vinyl is only for the walls? Of course, I couldn't use a monogram because it would drive me batty that it was backwards on one side. But there are about a million other vinyl decals I could use. Of course my windows usually have hand prints on them. That is sort of the same thing, right?

Hi Lorie.
I love the monogram, although I do see waht you're saying about it being backwards.
I have a vinyl "eye chart" on our basement entry door that includes our family names. I don't look at it from the inside much, I guess, but when the sun comes in the window, it reflects beautifully on the wall.
If you wanted to take a look.

I just bought a handy Cricut Expressions machine. Wow, you just gave me my zillionth great idea for it & it's not even here yet :) Thanks for all the wonderful ideas you share with us. -Tammy
just found your blog and LOVE it! just wanted to say i appreciate your posts.
This could totally work... if your last name started with an A, H, I, M, O, T, U (kinda, if no little tail), V, W, X, or Y... And really, almost S or Z. Those you can almost get away with. :) Then no backwards madness!
it would drive me crazy to have the letter backwards too!! But cool idea to use it on the window!
Ooh I love and I get to use "T" so no prob there! Sweet!
That is so cute. I love it! Maybe not a monogram - because of the backwards thing. Cute!

Oh I LOVE that! I have never seen people put it on the window before :)
ooh yes! Some scripty border in the corner maybe? No handprints here but a semi-permanent row of noseprints...puppies standing up reach as high as the cat standing on the sill...
oh! oh!
I could do a monogram!
because MY last name starts with a V!
I felt exceptionally clever for realizing that in the middle of the night when i'm super tired and waiting for somebody to come home. so i thought i'd share. LOL
