Pumpkin Pail

In Arizona it is still pretty hot in October. And if you try to carve your pumpkin a couple of weeks before and leave it outside as a decoration, you are going to have a wilted, moldy pumpkin long before Halloween. But here is an alternative method:

Painting pails with jack-o-lantern faces! And then you can put them out on September 1!! Or at least October 1.

These are really cute. You are definitely in fall mode already, aren't you? We're still dealing with the summer tomatoes and cucumbers from the garden ;) All your brownies and caramel apples and other fall stuff looks great.

Those are very cute. And with our weather today, it feels like fall and like I should be putting punkins out for decoration!

I love this idea! We are in Australia but still love celebrating Halloween. We usually carve the pumpkin on the day so it doesn't get gross in the heat but then we can't enjoy it for very long. This is a great alternative.

It's usually pretty warm here too (in Michigan) so we don't carve our pumpkins til a few days before Halloween so they're still nice for the trick-o-treaters to see.

This would make a wonderful planter for Chrysanthemums too.

Those are ADORABLE!! They are perfect for the hot Florida weather, too. I'm thinking they'll be on our porch this year. It's also great if you really don't want to get your hands all gookey with the pumpkin guts ~ we don't have anymore kids in the house, so the novelty has worn out off of cutting up pumpkins.
I bet you could cut holes in the buckets (If they are metal) and put candles inside -- nice glow.
