Baking Cookies in Your Car

If it is as hot where you are as it is here (over 100 degrees), then you might want to try baking cookies in your car like Nicole from Baking Bites:

She suggests using slice and bake cookies and ALWAYS putting a pot holder under the cookie sheet so you don't damage your dashboard. She has a recipe and some other tips that you can check out on her blog.

And I am thinking that my kids would LOVE to try this before we go back to school! Best benefits are you don't have to heat up your car AND your car smells like cookies!! YUM!

Did you know I once had a well-paid summer job baking cookies on the dashboards of cars in the 17 hottest cities in the nation? It was fun.

How long do you have to leave them in the car like that? I bet it does make your car smell extra yummy!!!

This is a hilarious idea! I've heard the expression "hot enough to fry an egg" but not "hot enough to bake cookies on the dash"! Very innovative :).

Is this for real? Like frying an egg on a sidewalk?

I will have to try that! Thanks for sharing.

Does it really get hot enough in there to prevent food poisoning? I would worry about that.

OMG that is the funniest thing. I have never seen anything like that before. Wow! Gives a new twist to "frying an egg on the sidewalk," doesn't it?

Saw you on SITS & stopped by to say hi!
