Footboard Redo

I do not have a headboard or a footboard on my bed. Anyone who has read this blog for a while knows that I have been looking for the perfect crafty do-it-yourself headboard for my master bedroom. But now if I find a headboard/footboard to redo, I might not be using it for my bed.

Centsational Girl took an old footboard and turned it into a cute chalkboard/coat rack:

She spray painted it, used some chalkboard paint, added some knobs to get this:

Isn't it GORGEOUS! If I had a footboard on my bed I might be taking it OFF to make this!

We have a really low platform bed from Ikea and I'd also LOVE to make a headboard! I hope you find a brilliant idea to pass along!

LOve love your blog and all the great ideas that you share. I have an old headboard and footboard sitting in my garage. We found it under our house when we moved. Now-I have something to do with it. Even my hubby loved the idea! Thanks for sharing. Also-love the flip flop idea. My 3 girls are in a local small town "pagent" and these would be so super cute for their feet! Brilliant for gifts! I will be heading out the to wally world to pick up some flips! Thanks again for the inspiration. I will be back to see what other brilliant ideas you come up with!!!

I drove by a foot board that was out on the curb for the garbage. It still haunts me that I didn't get it. I would have but DH would have KILLED me since we are moving and all that.
