I saw this on Design Dazzle and LOVE IT! (said is my best high pitched sing song voice):

That is just too cute for words
You could do boys--sure--go with the Pottery Barn look, stripes and nautical or canvas. Tie with ropes and grommets or old leather belts, you could get away with it=)
Makes me want to be a little girl again...........
