After constructing the boxes out of 1 inch wooden planks, they used decorative radiator grills in the front to add a little spunk.
They used the same idea on the windows instead of shutters:

That's cool - and I bet it helps the things being stored to not smell like they have been stored too! You find the neatest ideas!
