Pot of Gold

Do you have one of these left over from Halloween:

Fill it full of candy in gold wrappers. You can get Rolos individually wrapped in gold wrappers. Those work great. Werther's caramels are wrapped in gold too.

Stick the pot of gold out on a table for everyone to enjoy, or make your kid work for it. Every time they do something nice (secretly) for a member of the family they can come and get a piece of candy. Or make it a rule that you can not eat a piece of candy out of the pot that you got for yourself. You can only take one out to give to someone else!

What do you do to celebrate St. Patrick's Day?

St. Patrick's Day is my birthday, so I am always doing something! But my favorite is to just enjoy the traditional St. Patrick's Day feast of corned beef and cabbage with carrots and baby potatoes. Yummy!

We love St Patrick's Day around here! My daughter is an Irish dancer! We do the pot of gold here too! I found some gold pots like that at the party store a few years back. We have a leprechaun that comes to visit and usually leaves behind his hat and shoes.

Marie! How fun! You could so join our family! We all have birthdays on holidays or someone elses birthday! No one has their own day!!

I had the kids collect rocks and we spray painted them gold. They loved the idea of making their own gold.

last year we filled one of those pots with gold foiled wrapped chocolate coins from the dollar store which would amazingly be cheaper than rolos or werthers.

What a great idea! Like all 90 year olds, I love Werther's hard candies!

I'm going to make Martha's corned beef and cabbage, but with pre-prepared corned beef. Yum.

What a great idea!!
The little green guys invade our house on St.Patrick's Day. They make huge, silly messes and do silly things, but they also leave shamrock confetti everywhere and a few gold coins. My kids love it!!

Great idea. The only St. Patrick's Day decorations we have are two garden flags for the yard.
