Cookie Flower Box

So my new favorite site, Bright Ideas, has the recipe for these cute Fudgy Flower Blooms:

These would be such a fun way to celebrate the beginning of Spring! Which is technically March 20th, but we are lucky that it comes a bit early here in AZ...but only lasts about a week before summer starts!

What you need:

2 bags DOVE® Chocolate
1 bag M&M’S® Brand Chocolate Candies
1 bag M&M’S® Brand MINIS®
2 1/2 cups sugar
4 tablespoons butter
1 can (5-oz.) evaporated milk
1 jar (7 1/2-oz.) marshmallow fluff
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup chocolate frosting
1 can (16-oz.) vanilla frosting
Yellow, red and blue food coloring
1 (9-inch) square pan
3 resealable plastic sandwich bags
Various flower cookie cutters
Green tinted wooden skewers

What you do:

Over medium heat, bring sugar, butter, evaporated milk, marshmallow fluff and salt to a full boil in a large heavy-bottom saucepan. Once it reaches a boil, continue cooking and stirring for 5 minutes.

Remove from heat and add 1 1/2 bags DOVE® Chocolate and stir until smooth. Pour into a foil-lined and greased pan. Refrigerate until set; at least 1 hour or overnight.

Divide vanilla frosting between 3 bowls, tint yellow, blue and red. Spoon frosting into three separate resealable plastic bags. Snip small corners and set aside.

Using cookie cutters, press out shapes from fudge. Insert wooden skewers into the sides of the flowers. Pipe frosting around flowers and decorate with M&M’S® Brand Chocolate Candies and M&M’S® Brand MINIS®. Insert skewers into an oasis filled window box or flowerpots.

Lorie, thanks for mentioning me down below. Isn't that site fantastic! While you're on the subject, Family Fun just came out with the cutest Rock Star Party and Bright Ideas has the most adorable Microphone Cupcakes Cones. You should post about it. It would be one sweet party!

Hi Lorie- I just saw that you live in AZ. I am in Tucson right now visiting my sister. Do you have any suggestions for girly stores or fun things to do here?
