and then like two seconds later my friend Amy made this cake for her daughters birthday:
(Totally off the cake topic, but if she gets any more talented, I don't know that I will be able to like her any more! The cake is one thing, and it is ADORABLE, but you should check out her photography skills! She is amazing!)The Boy is trying to decide which one he wants me to attempt for his birthday. Right now he is leaning towards the cake!
So which do you prefer for birthday parties? Cake or cupcake?

Actually, I like the best of both worlds....the cupcake cakes. You know the cakes comprised of all cupcakes. Makes it easy!

lately I've done the cupcake thing. much easier. but if there's ever a theme, I usually make a cake.

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I love reading yours you always have such cute things on it. For parties with lots of people I normally do a cute cake plus cupcakes. If it is a small party I normally just go with the cake!
I like the cake, but for kid parties I prefer cupcakes. They may take more time to make, but it's easier to serve and clean up!
I almost always go with cupcakes. I think it's easier to make an adorable cupcake than a cake (For all of us "nonprofessionals") Plus, I have one of those awesome cupcake trees which makes the presentation to die for ;-)
