When I was young, I spent the summer with my grandparents. One summer, my grandpa and I collected butterflies. We would pin them up on a cardboard.
I saw these on A Room Somewhere and it immediately made me think of my grandfather.
But it is a little more humane to butterflies.
What a cute project for the girls room! I think I am going to keep my eyes out for a butterfly punch.

love love love this!
Love these butterflies! Thanks for visiting my site. Glad you liked the birthday party stuff. I get a little crazy about parties:-)
I like the butterfly idea. Farmer Girl would like this so much! We also use portfolios for some of the girls. One daughter has a closet in the craft room (it used to be my area). I can close it up each day! Great ideas.
Cute project! And CONGRATS! on winning the MMB award. Well deserved!
:~D
I saw these and went crazy for them too.
I think that Martha Stewart has a butterfly punch in her craft line at Michael's and Walmart. I think it's a smallish punch, but it looks similar to the second picture. Just FYI! :)
Wow, that is adorable! I think I see another project to add to the masses. My girls need a little more girlieness in their rooms... ha ha ha, not sure how it can get much worse than it already is. I can try though! Totally posted large pics of the diaper cakes on yesterdays blog post if you couldn't see the smaller pics well enough! Let me know what you think of them!
I could not love this more than I do. I'm forwarding it to friends, bookmarking it, yes, IN LOVE! Michael's has a small butterfly punch in the dollar section and I've seen the Martha one at Michael's & WalMart and it is bigger. Too cool!
This is such a cute idea! ...hmmm, maybe next time I get out of the house without kids (so, 2010!), I'll go to Hobby Lobby and try finding a die cut to make this project! Thanks for sharing your find! :)
This is such a cute idea! I made one using my Wizard & posted it on my Blog if you wanna check it out. I am excited about making more :) They are super cute.
