Silhouettes for Christmas

I saw this Santa silhouette from Ballard Designs on The Pleasures of Homemaking and fell in love with it. Unfortunately it isn't for sale on their website, but it did remind me to pot about Christmas silhouettes!!

Once upon a time I was a font junkie. I used to type out all of my journaling for my scrapbook pages, so I had about a million different free fonts on my computer. One of the ones I found is this Christmas Silhouette Font from dafont.com.

Just THINK of the things you can do with it! Personalized return address stickers for your Christmas cards. Print out custom gift tags for your presents. Decoupage them on to ornaments. Print them out on a solid color background and frame them to hang on your wall.

I am giddy just thinking about it!

Ya know, you could even do faux silhouettes with those fonts if you were able to increase the size. It might not look *exactly* like the one you wanted to purchase, but perhaps close enough?

No? Maybe? *lol*

I love silhouettes! My favorite gift is a silhouette my brother made of me, him, and my husband.

I collect Nativities, and I think I may just have to make my own for this year using these great silhouettes. I wonder if they'd look good enlarged on plywood big enough for my front yard?
