Let it Snow: Snowflake Garland

I live in the desert. No snow in the desert. Last night when we were decorating the tree I realized that I have an over abundance of snowman ornaments. I think I am trying to make up for something. To accompany my snowmen, I think I will have to make his snowflake garland Martha made from doilies.

You can use it to bring the snow inside, minus the cold. Or if you are in AZ like me, this is as close to snow as my kids will get this winter! And I am okay with that!

One year we made paper snowflakes as a family and taped them all over the windows. (We had a bank of bay windows in the eat-in kitchen.) It was actually really cool, but less formal looking, of course. We kept them up all winter, adding free-hand cut pink and red construction paper hearts in February. I loved that.

We built a snowman one year when we lived in Tucson. He didn't last long though. I like your snow better.

So cute... I am a desert rat too and sometimes this is all the snow we get -- the ones in our decorations.

What a nice look.
Ohhh that Martha, she's just too creative for words, and so are you.
I really enjoy your blog.

Rychelle,

Try Michaels or the wedding section (by crafts) at Walmart.

I love this idea for after Christmas. It's always so sad to put the Christmas decor away and have nothing left!
