Or everyday chair covers.
I have been looking for ideas for making covers for my dining room chairs. And I like this idea of tying two pieces of material together with ribbon! A lot less sewing (and a lot less complicated!!)
Here are the directions from the BHG site:
Trace the seat back, add 1/2-inch seam allowances, then cut four pieces of
fabric for each chair. Pin ribbon ties to the right sides of the fabric. With
right sides together, stitch around the covers, leaving an opening for turning.
Turn inside out, press, and close the opening. Tie the two covers together and
slip over the chair back.

Hey Lorie just wanted to thank you for dropping by my blog and to let you know I am done with my craft. Come take a look, I hope you like it.
Sweet. This reminds me I would love an idea for all the extra chairs that I will be using at Xmas. I don't want to do this for 10 chairs because I don't even stitch so I wish there was something even simpler.
they work really well with the white chairs!
Everything is so cute on here! I love these chair covers...now if only I had chairs to cover...
oh that is just simply the cutest idea ever! love it.
stopped in from mormon mommy blogs...you're was the one right below mine and just had to come see what the excitment was all about...thanks for the great idea!
It makes me wish I had chairs like those.
That table is gorgeous. I love the chair covers.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this! Precious! Oh and I've been meaning to tell you, the robot never happened. My dear ole honey procrastinated and then asked if I had gone to all of the costume shops ON Halloween morning. So, we scrambled and Ryder was a Tiger. Maybe next year? Ha! :o)He had fun though!
