Book Swim: Netflix for readers

I haven't decided if I want to tell my Hubby about this or not. He is a lover of books. And we lack the space to have enough bookshelves to store them all. So this might be a good alternative. But on the other hand, I may never have a conversation with him again. He will forever be lost in a book.

What am I talking about? Book Swim. It is an online book rental service. For $9.95 a month you can have 3 books sent to you to keep as long as you like. You select the books you want to receive, the order you want to receive them, and shipping is free both ways.

I know a few book clubs that would benefit from this site! I also think it would be a good Christmas gift.

Have you heard of this? Have you tried it? I would love to hear your thoughts.

Ooh! What a great idea!
I don't have space to own books either, and there aren't many that I read more than once.

Being a librarian I would just say, "get it from the library!" but sometimes you can't get the books you want right away. So this would be great!

This would easier than explaining the frequent shipments from Books a Million!

The library is always a good choice, but I would still be on a waiting list at my library for Twilight...the FIRST one! So this might be a good supplement! Plus you don't ever have to worry about returning them on time. And that used to never be a problem with me, but it seems we are always a day late now. And since they raised the fine and there are four of us getting books missing one day would cover the cost of this for at least a month!

i use bookswim. My library often doesn't have books I want, so I go to Bookswim. I like it pretty well so far.

I have never heard of this before. Sounds like it would be so convenient.
