Hi Da Da!

My children are in the habit of running to the door and screaming Hi Dad every time the door opens. (I think they like him or something...) But the thing is, they do it every time the door opens. They just assume I am not going anywhere without them, so if the door is opening, Dad must be home.

If I go out to get the mail, bring in the garbage can, open the door on a whim, it is the same. "Hi Dad!" To spice it up sometimes they say "Dads HOME!!!" But you get the idea.

It was time for the boy to get home from school, so I opened the door to unlock the screen door. And what did I hear? It wasn't Lou La. It was Toots that said "Hi Da Da!" Just one of the many things she has learned from her big brother and sister.
