How To Save Money at Target with Cartwheel

Do you love shopping at Target?  I know, who doesn't right?  Now there are even more reasons to love Target because they are giving you even more ways to save money!

Target Cartwheel is a new spin on savings from Target.  Using your desktop, tablet, or app, you browse the over 700 offers that are available through Cartwheel.  You have 10 spots to fill, which means you are able to use up to 10 offers at one time.  How do you find which offer cards you want to use?  You can browse for offers by department or you can browse collections of offers.  Collections are like browsing by themes.  Right now there is a collection for Game Day Deals to help you get ready for the Super Bowl and one for Valentine's Day savings, just to name a few.  

One of my favorite ways to find deals is to use the Cartwheel app right in the store.  When I find something I want to buy, I scan the barcode and Cartwheel finds any available offer for me and will take you right to the offer code you need to use.

My second favorite way to find offers is to check out what my friends are adding to their Cartwheel.  If you sign up using your Facebook login,  you can see the offer cards that your friends add and use in the store.  This way you will know about the great deals they are finding and still have time to use them yourself!  

If you are adding an offer you want to keep private, either because you don't want the whole world to know you are buying new bras or because your purchase is a gift for one of your Facebook friends, it is super easy to make that offer private.  You just click the lock icon on the bottom left of the offer before you add it and it will add the offer privately.

If you don't want any of your offers shared, you can easily manage that in the privacy settings in Cartwheel or register for Target Cartwheel using your Target.com login instead.

Although you start out with 10 spots, you can earn more spots when you earn badges.  Badges can be earned by saving money, the more you save with Cartwheel the more spots open up.  You can also earn badges by interacting with Cartwheel.  I have a badge I earned just from using Cartwheel at Target the first time, one from adding an offer card from a Collection, another for having a Facebook friend join Cartwheel, and another for adding an offer card from a friends Cartwheel.

Once you have all of your spots filled, Cartwheel generates a single barcode for you to use.  One scan and all of your discounts are taken off your total at the register.  And you can use your same list over again or make a new one the next time you shop.  Now if you are a real Target fanatic, you should know you can only scan your Cartwheel barcode 6 times a day!  And someone might want to plan an intervention.
