Chocolate Chip Cookie S'mores from Paula Dean
We are going camping this weekend and it will be the first time in a long time we have all gone as a family. The kids are all excited, but with a new baby I can't say I have jumped on the bandwagon. So in order to get myself excited, I am planning a s'moresgesborg.
s'mores + schmorgesborg = s'moresgesborg
There are a ton of fun s'mores ideas I have buried on this blog and I am going to resurrect some (read that a A LOT) of them. S'mores like the chocolate chip cookie s'mores. These actually have bananas in them. I am sure they are good, but I think we will go for just marshmallow. Or maybe not. Maybe we will add the bananas since I will probably have some there for the grilled banana s'mores.
I wonder if I can get those to stay on a stick? Probably not. Maybe I will have to dutch oven them!
I will also be bringing Rice Krispie treats to create Rice Krispie treat s'mores. Crispycakes sells them as S'more Crispycakes with the graham cracker baked right in the middle, but I think we will use the treats in lieu of the graham crackers.
And since we will be substituting the graham crackers, it is only fair to substitute the chocolate in a few too. The last time we went camping we brought a few other candy bars (like Reese's peanut butter cups and Caramel Hershey bars) and they made some pretty fun s'mores. This year I think I will add Nutella to the list. Doesn't a Nutella s'more sound yummy!

Do you have a favorite untraditional s'more you like to make when you are camping? I would love to hear about it so I can add the ingredients to my shopping list!
