Board and Batten Kitchen Island from Thrifty Decor Chick
In our new house there is an island that I do not love. It doesn't feel substantial enough for the space it is in. Tearing it out and replacing it is definitely on the to do list, but there are a few projects that rank above it. I have always loved Sarah's island that is was covered in beadboard, but she recently combined the bead board with some board and batten for this fabulous DIY kitchen island makeover. I am sort of in love with the idea and might have to give it a try before I sacrifice the island.
