Sliding Ladder Tutorial

We looked at a couple of new houses this weekend.  One of them was amazing and I am going to go back and take pictures.  The closet in the master bedroom had a 20 foot ceiling and there were shelves and bars all the way up.  It was amazing.  Of course there was no built in ladder.  It wasn't completed yet, but I can't imagine it will go without one for long.

I often wish that I had a built in ladder in my kitchen because I can't reach any of the cabinets.  We have little step stools all over the house actually.  Four of the five people that live in this house are short!  So when I saw this tutorial on DIY Showoff for a DIY Ladder I knew I had to share it:
