I found this at Bake at 350:
Usually when I post something from her blog it is a recipe. But this isn't about the recipe. Don't get me wrong, the Almond Crusted Butter Cake looks and sounds delicious, but it is the idea behind the cake that I love.
This is only half of the cake. Why? Because they are celebrating a HALF birthday! Such a fun idea. You could even go a step further and cut the paper plates and napkins in half. Wouldn't work for the cups though.

love this idea!!! love all the halfsies! :)
ReplyDeleteI am actually really sad I didn't see this before my half birthday! I would have baked myself half of a cake ;D
ReplyDeleteLove the half birthdays, especially for my girls who get slammed in between Thanksgiving(They are two weeks shy of two years apart!) Not too sure how good 48 1/2 soungs though???? ;-)
ReplyDeleteFound you on Gal in the Middle's page and am following you now.

ReplyDeleteBonus: the baker gets to eat the other half the cake ?!
ReplyDeleteWe celebrated my nephew's half birthday last week. My sister-in-law has done this twice now (he's three and a half) and made half birthday cakes both years. Kelly
