I don't sew very often, but even from the little sewing that I do I know how handy it would be to have the pins on my wrist! Any place other than on the floor is an improvement for me though.

Wristband Pin Cushion
Smashed Peas and Carrots turned an old school wristband into a handy pin cushion:
