Daily Dot Calendar

I saw this calendar idea from PB Teen on One Cool Pick:

Which makes me wonder if you can write on vinyl like a dry erase board?  Because if you can this would be SUPER easy to make.  Even if you can't it wouldn't be too hard with some dry erase paint?

So can you write on vinyl with a dry erase marker?  Anyone?  Anyone?  Bueller?

well, I know they have "white board" wall paper, maybe you could make the circles from that?

What about chalk ink? I bet that might work (wet erase, though).

I'm sure the vinyl that is used for outdoors, it has a glossy finish, would work great. You can order it online and use a cricut or a circle cutter and get the exact look for much cheaper.

You could also use the cricut, cut out the circles, laminate them in 5mm or so at Office Max and then use the dry erase.

Permanent marker comes off of slick surfaces with nail polish remover. Used it all the time in school so I could reuse name tags that I had used for seating/incentives.

You can use a dry erase crayon on vinyl. I've tried the markers and it stains.

I love the idea in theory...but you'd have to move every single dot every month, and I'd get sick of trying to line them up perfectly each time LOL.

And every time I wipe off dry erase markers there's a streak left...which would get on your wall in between the dots wouldn't it?

I did my daughters room in polka dots, I used a circle cutter and made a stencil with contact paper and they came out perfect. I see Penelope's point but you could paint a grid of circles with chalk board paint and just wipe it off each month.
