I like that, I agree, paint them, and maybe add bows--would hide the fact they are embroidery hoops, cute ideas.
Did you see those new glass ornaments (clear traditional bulbs) in bhg? They have an opening like a bird house entry, and a vent at the top. You hang them like these hoops! I loved them!
