Last Days of Summer

School starts for us next week. And I am really sad. But we have the weekend to celebrate the last days of summer. One of the traditions we have in our house is to celebrate the end of summer by having ice cream for dinner. We usually go to this fun Ice Cream parlor, but I am thinking about letting the kids make their own sundaes at home.

Then I can make one of these:

Or one of the other 59 ideas from Martha's 60 days of Summer Ice Cream Treats.

You make the cute stack of ice cream by slicing up a pint of each flavor. I am going to have to remember that trick. I have cut up larger ice cream containers, but this would be so much easier!

Oh my goodness. I'm with Miss Anne on this one. I think I need to go eat some ice cream now. However, mine may or may not be eaten straight out of the carton with a spoon. :)

Anne, I hope your screen is cleaner than mine!

And Beth, I agree, straight out of the carton is the best! (and easiest!) No washing a bowl!
