Halloween Wreath

So, I was going to wait until September to start posting all of the fun Halloween stuff, but then Joanna told me she was going to put her decorations up on September 1, so she needed the ideas NOW! So blame all of this on Joanna. It is all down hill from here!

I will try to post other things too, for those of you who aren't as big of a fan of Halloween as others.

So Joanna, this one is for you!

Jen from Lipstick and Laundry made this really cute Halloween sign out of an old board:

She painted it and had a friend cut out vinyl letters for her. You could do it with paint, or ask a friend, or fork out the dough for a Cricut to cut your own. Or steal borrow your mom's Cricut that she never uses.

And if the simple sign wasn't cute enough, she tucked it in a wreath to hang on her door:

Jen thinks she should wait until Sept. 1 to hang it, but I say DO IT NOW! And if you agree with me you should go to her blog and leave a comment telling her to hang it up now and enjoy it!

Or you can use this tutorial http://jenduncan.typepad.com/whats_new/2009/05/weekly-on-wednesdays-for-a-while.html to cut out your letters from scrapbook paper & just mod podge them onto your sign. I've used it to put quotes on my wall: http://caitlinwilhelm.blogspot.com/2009/07/super-fun-decorations.html.

hahahahaha... THANKS... I think I just might... although it would be helpful if my weather would cool down a bit!! I was also thinking this would be a fun idea to do using your childrens birthdays... I did go out and buy my own vinyl, I do have a cricut and thought maybe I should cut some of my own!!
Thanks for the post!

Halloween is my absolute FAVORITE!! When else do you get to dress up and act like kids on a sugar rush?!?!?!?
My best friend and I turn her front yard and garage into Halloween Heaven. I'll have to remember to post pictures this year!

thats super cute! I can't comment on the 'to early for halloween' decorations cuz I'm already itching to start putting up Christmas stuff. Maybe I'll compromise and put up Halloween stuff instead :)

YES! Finding more Halloween nuts! If it weren't for the tree, my Halloween storage box would be bigger than Christmas' :D Try my best to wait until October 1st but if other people are going September 1st...
Thanks! Keep 'em coming!

LOVE IT! LOVE IT! Bring on the Halloween girlfriend! September issues of magazines are on the newstands so if you need another reason there you go. Bring us all the goulish stuff you can find. You know, in the pretty way you do. :D

That's adorable -- we love Halloween, but our community won't let us put our decorations up until 45 days prior to any holiday, so we have to wait until Sept. 16th.... :-)
