Painted Glass

See this cute plate that I found on We Are That Family:

She made it by painting the bird on the back of a glass plate. She used a stencil for the bird. You could do so much fun stuff. Write names. Decorate for holidays. Add a bird.

She used acrylic paint because it is just for decorative purposes. But you can find glass paint that will hold up in the wash and since it is on the back of the plate you don't have to worry about it being food safe.

I am thinking polka dots!

Very clever idea! A few years ago, several online friends really got into decoupaging colorful printed paper napkins to the back of glass plates. Another cool look, but with the current popularity of silhouettes and super graphics, I love the bird stencil!
