Not On My Christmas List

A list of things you don't want to hear a week before Christmas when your shopping isn't finished, your baking isn't done, and your house isn't clean.

Your oldest daughter saying "I feel like I am going to puke a little bit"

Rain pouring outside for the fourth day in a row

The baby screaming at 1:30, 3:30 and 5:30 in the morning

The ding your computer makes when it is giving you an error message...
this time because Itunes no longer recognizes your Ipod.

Your dryer making a cha chunk sound like it is on it's last leg.

**********

What is on your "Things I Don't Want For Christmas" list?

Having my wife say "you don't have anything to do on your day off, so why don't you…" when I would like to get her presents that day.

Oh boy. Those are definitely not good! I've been sick since Saturday. There's no food in the house and a snowstorm coming tomorrow. Definitely not good! I'm going to haul my butt to Sam's Club and hope I don't collapse!

kel - My hubby is the same way! But we love them! ;D

CaJoh, just say, oh, well I was going to go present shopping, but I guess I could just help you instead! ;D

Rae! I hope you feel better and that the snow storm doesn't do any damage!

Oh no!!! Wifey that is so funny. I hope the dog is okay!

Mary, my house is always a disaster when I am getting ready to leave for vacation! I am always cleaning stuff, taking out the trash and doing dishes when I should be walking out the door! At least your house will stay clean while you are gone! Mine is going to be THRASHED on Christmas :X

Lara - sending you healthy vibes! (the ones I am not using for my family anyways!!)

My husband just announced that he's not into Christmas; he's not doing stockings; and that he's becoming a Scrooge more each year. That really choked me up, and burst my holiday bubble.
Creep!!

Hey! I love the rain pouring for 4 days in a row.

Here's another one. This happened to me today. Hubbie calls me at work: "Honey, I have to work this Saturday."

THIS Saturday? The Saturday before Christmas Saturday? Surely you can't mean THIS Saturday, right?

But he told his boss that he would not make it to work alive tomorrow if that was the only announcement. So while he has to work Sat, he got some leverage and he comes home early a few days next week. So I'll grin and bare it, since he was smart enough to see where this could go and he got some leverage.
